"Danny Dekkers is a young Art Director/Designer and concept creator. In many ways he reminds me about myself
when I was young. He has guts and is down to earth. He has a two year education in Graphic Design, but is in many
other ways an autodidact. It is always astonishing to see how - after a waterfall of words and an often chaotic
description of my ideas - Danny just nods his head and three days later comes back with a beautiful concept and
well designed pages.
He understands exactly what I mean and that that gives me the Goosebumps. He is always willing
to think with you and is reliable. Seeing Danny's designs and his creative solutions, is like seeing Ronaldinho
play a soccer match; the joy and the ease and the passes only Ronaldinho can give is comparable to seeing Danny's
design. He has it in his blood to be one of the great designers and it is an honor and privilege for me to mentor
this little diamond in the rough a little on his way. I am sure one day he will be as great in designing as Ronaldinho is in soccer."
"Then our Editor in Chief, or should I saw 'Editrice' in Chief Ingrid van Diest.
As I come up with new ideas and enthusiastic prospects every 5 seconds, she has to 'cook' a wonderful
product out of it. Believe me, that is asking a lot of skill, which Ingrid luckily has. As important as
her editing skill is her sense of humor which makes working with her a joy and puts me back on my feet
again most of the time.
Ingrid is a copywriter from profession and a good one; she plays with words like no other.
She often needs only a few words from my chaotic mind to distil it into the exact words and lines, making it the
concept I had in mind. She also has a double function to conduct and instruct our two other young apprentices writers
and I must say she does that with verve. Without keeping out of site the general line of writing of the total book,
Ingrid works for profit and non profit organisations with a specialty in writing business plans and project proposals.
She has her degree in East European studies, a journalistic oriented study at the University of Amsterdam. She has her
heart at the right place and travels numerous times non paid to Kosovo and Africa to set up all kind of non profit relief
projects for which I have great admiration and respect. I am a lucky guy to work with people like Danny and Ingrid."
"Dirk Imschoot (b.1953) is our printer and co publisher
"Then our senior editor, Silke van Deelen. Silke is from Limburg, in the south of Holland.
Limburg is mainly a farm orientated part of the country and not especially known as a breeding ground for creative writers,
but I have been proven wrong because also Silke is a gem in the rough. With no special journalistic education Silke has
writing in her blood.
Silke is a girl of not many words, she always answers my e-mails in almost Japanese Haikus.
As I give Silke an assignment she never asks any questions. Then after 4 days wondering if she understood me and if
everything will go right, I get a piece of text which is absolutely great and precisely how I want it.
She is another diamond in the rough. I can send her now with peace in my heart around the world. She just
returned from a trip to Scotland and did a production were I am very proud of. Silke has a mind of her own,
nothing is too much for her and she never complains. Just let her go her way and everything will be fine."
"Last but not least our youngest apprentice, Virginia Sandjojo. She is the youngest of our editors but with a
strong mind of her own. She is studying International Relations at the University of Utrecht and although she never
did copywriting before she is a fast learner. She is an ace in production work, finding resources and from a few words
input she can make a great concept text.
Virginia is representative and reliable; you can send her for an interview
without being ashamed. She a neat little lady with charm. I've seen her in high society gatherings where she stands
her ground and even steals the show. I can give her any assignment without even joining her. Virginia is a real asset
to the team and for me as 'an old dog' between these puppies it's a joy to guide them and to work with them I am blessed
and you see that shining trough in our products."
